After an unusually cool and cloudy day yesterday, the sun will return today. A lake breeze will keep things relatively mild, still, however. Highs will reach the upper 70s through much of the city, and probably the low 80s in the suburbs.
The calm will not last, however, as a major storm system is forecast to plow through the region tomorrow. Strong thunderstorms with heavy soaking rain are likely late tomorrow morning. The strongest storms will occur between 9am and 2pm. Temps will be seasonably warm tomorrow, highs in the 80s. The chance of storms will continue through Sunday and Monday as the atmosphere remains unstable and unsettled (like me most days ๐). Temps will be on the โcoolโer side with highs only around 80.
But the unsettled weather will push off to the east by Tuesday making way for yet ANOTHER heat wave next week. We may be entering an a-typically active pattern like this that could last through the end of July but stay tuned for more details on that!
Tl;dr - Sun returns today, lake breeze, high of 80. Heavy rain + storms tomorrow. Unsettled through Mon. HOT next wk
