Cool(er) weather continues today. There will be a very small chance of a passing shower but overall I just expect it to be mostly cloudy with a high near 80F. Sunshine could return by sunset; it will be a cool and clear night, and tomorrow will definitely be sunnier with a high once again near 80F. 

Things start to heat up on Sunday and Monday as a bubble of warm air surges northward and sends temps into the 90s along with an increasing chance of thunderstorms. 

Warmer air will stick around with temps persisting in the upper 80s through the second half of next week. Chicago has already experienced 11 days above 90. This weekend may add 2 more to that total bringing us close to the “normal” number of 90+ days in an entire summer (the climatological mean is 16.7 days above 90F). The catch is we still have 2 and a half months to go! 🥵

Tl;dr - cloudy, 80F today, slight chance of storm. Sunnier, 82F tomorrow. Hot Sun-Mon w/ storms, warm and sticky Tues+
