I’ve got what amounts to a June day in store for you today:
First, strong southerly flow will pump temps up into the low 80s. Dewpoints will follow suit - spiking up into the 60s and making it feel genuinely MUGGY for the first time this year.
That will all come to a spectacular end between 9pm and midnight when a powerful line of thunderstorms BLASTS through the region, dropping yet another 1-2” of rain in a very short time tonight.
Cold air will RUSH IN behind the storm tomorrow morning setting us up for a brilliant chilly Saturday, with temps throughout the day not escaping the 40s. It will be quite windy as well - making for a classic spring sequence - 80s, t-storms, 40s and cold. LOL.
Sunday and Monday will be cool as well - but then we should moderate back into the 60s, and 70s next week.
Tl;dr - hot and muggy today (low 80s), strong storms tonight after 9pm, cold this weekend.
