After a quick dash of snow this morning, skies will gradually clear out as a big slug of warmer, drier air punches eastward into the city today. Temps will rise above freezing to the mid to upper 40s.
And the temperature will only go up from there. Under partly sunny skies, the remainder of this week looks stunning with highs increasing into the 50s tomorrow, 60s on Friday, and 70s (?!) on Saturday.
A cold front will pass through the region sometime on Sunday which will send temps back down, but such is the nature of Spring in Chicago. The rollercoaster continues. That’s normal! THAT SAID, there are zero indications that prolonged cold is returning anytime soon and it might even be safe to say that it’s only up from here! I see lots of 50s and 60s in the forecast next week :)
Tl;dr - sunnier, warmer this afternoon; 40s. 50s tomorrow, 60s Fri, 70s on Sat. Cold front Sun: spring rollercoaster continues.
