It is shockingly cool out this morning (especially after so many 80 degree days in a row), but have no fear, the chill is but temporary. A cold front blew through and this reversed the wind direction - the air mass in place over the city today and tomorrow will be air that blew straight off of Lake Michigan (that’s why it’s much cooler). Highs today and tomorrow will be around 60F. Both days should be partly to mostly sunny.
Showers are likely on Friday as a new storm system pushes the cold air mass out of the way. Temps will begin rising into the mid to upper 60s.
The chance of showers will continue on Saturday (probably turning to Thunderstorms), with highs right around 70.
After Sat evening we should dry out and warm back up with temps steadily increasing into the low 70s on Sunday, and near 80 by mid-next-week! :)
Tl;dr - lake-influenced cool days today + tomorrow (60s). Showers fri-sat, much warmer beginning Sunday.
