Today is shaping up to be a decent day. Some clouds this morning will gradually dissipate this afternoon as the wind shifts directions. This shift will have two consequences: 1) the temp will warm up into the 60s this afternoon and 2) it will be quite windy for a period while it does that.
Some light rain is likely tonight but the real heavy stuff holds off until tomorrow evening. Temps will remain warm tonight (50s).
Tomorrow will be warm, again (60s), but increasing cloudiness portends storminess. Showers and thunderstorms, some of which could be heavy, are likely beginning late Thursday and continuing through Friday morning. This will keep temps stuck in the 40s and 50s on Friday, with a cold morning forecast for Saturday.
But Saturday afternoon will be quite mild and will be just the beginning of a major warming trend that will see 70s and possibly 80s return to the Chicagoland area by Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday.
Tl;dr - clouds dissipating, but wind increasing. High 64F. Warm tomorrow (60s), but rain (heavy at time) likely Thurs PM - Fri AM.
