Good morning and happy Wednesday! After a cool start to the day, things are about to heat up in a serious way.

A reversal of wind direction will pump temps up into the upper 70s/low 80s this afternoon under partly sunny skies. 

Tomorrow will be even warmer tomorrow as a summertime ridge slides into place over the central US. In fact, for the next 10 days I do not expect high temperatures to drop below 80F at all. Some showers and storms are likely Friday-Saturday which will make those days the “coolest” of the next few weeks, but summer is decidedly here. 

There are still indications that a heat wave may impact the area next week with widespread 90s!
